Our good friend Sally and I are running our first Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 11, 2009. Instead of raising funds for other worthy causes, we are seeking donations to help pay for the adoption.

Did you know that our international adoption may cost over $60,000? Government fees, agency payments, orphanage costs and travel expenses are the primary sources of this cost. We are currently raising money to pay for this journey.

I run for my daughter who I never met. And she lives on the other side of the world - in Siberia.


We prepare for the long road ahead as we wait for the call that allows us to learn her name and visit her for the first time. The adoption process is quite expensive, and we're raising money and are amazed at the provision! Last fall, I completed my first marathon as I raised money for the adoption. This spring I will run my first Shamrock Shuffle.
